About It! September 11, 2001, is not a day that we will quickly forget. Nineteen terrorists fired the first shot in this current war using ammunition of human-filled planes against targets filled with innocent human beings. May we never forget! On March 20, 2002, President Bush launched the present phase in this war by ordering the beginning of the campaign to liberate Iraq and, thus, eliminate the terrorist-fostering regime of Saddam Hussein. The following day, the Centre Daily Times ran this headline—“U.S. STRIKES IRAQ.” On a crisp spring morn in the year 33 A.D., a singular event took place in human history. This event was of such profound importance that its enemies, led by Satan himself, deliberately ran the misleading headline the next day in the Jerusalem Times—“BODY TAKEN BY DISCIPLES.” (Mt. 28:13) But God’s headline on the same day of that singular event was heralded, “CHRIST IS RISEN JUST AS HE SAID!” (Mt. 28:6) Other headlines in God’s Word regarding that event are these: “JESUS IS GOD, SO SAYS RESURRECTION” Christ has come, was crucified, and is risen from the dead. God’s headlines not only declare this to be so but also help us to understand the significance of that singular event almost two millennia ago. Let’s read all about it, dear brethren, for we must never forget! May you and yours enjoy a blessed Easter season remembering and rejoicing in the One who is not there, for He has risen “just as He said!” In Christ,
