I'm currently an electrical engineering graduate student here at Penn State.  I grew up in a Christian home, with parents who loved me, educated me, and faithfully taught me about God. Although I knew all the "right answers," during my first eight years I had never personally accepted God's offer of salvation through Christ. Then one night I was lying in bed thinking about various things, and I realized that I had never been born again, and that it was a good thing for me to do. So I asked God to save me - I gave my life to Jesus Christ. He did save me! My years since then have been a constantly growing amazement that God would save such a sinful person as me, and a slowly growing joy and anticipation for the unspeakably awesome future He has promised me. I have benefited from the ministry of several churches during my high school and Cedarville University years, and now that God has brought me to Penn State, I am so thankful for the ministry of Faith Baptist in my life. The fellowship with mentors, children, and collegiate peers has been so refreshing and encouraging! As always, thanks and praise be to God.
We grew up with Christian families, each of us accepting Jesus into our hearts at a young age. So, when we came to State College, as singles, we were both looking for a church family that would not only have sound Biblical doctrine but that would also show the love of Jesus through their actions.  The Lord led us to Faith Baptist and Campus Bible Fellowship. Not only did we find each other here, but we also found a great church where God and His Word are the focus. We find ourselves encouraged weekly by the teaching of the Word, prayer, and the fellowship with God’s children. We are constantly challenged to live a life devoted solely to God. Our six years here have been a time of growth and learning, and we look forward to being at Faith Baptist Church however many more years God has us in State College.

My wife and I have been members of Faith Baptist since 1992. It was that summer that I accepted Christ as my Savior when I heard the gospel at Camp Kanesatake.  My life was no longer my own, Galatians 2:20.  My wife noticed a change in me immediately and wondered what had happened. Although she had asked Jesus into her heart at age 9 through a televangelist, she hadn’t matured in the Lord. At that point we began looking for a local Bible church and were led to Faith Baptist.  It was here we were mentored and learned to grow in our Christian walk. We were encouraged in Bible study (2 Timothy 3:16-17 and 1 Peter 2:2), Scripture memory (Psalm 119:11), the importance of prayer (Colossians 4:2), and the role of a local church family (Acts).  We had the privilege of leading our two older children to Christ in 2002 and 2005.  The youngest is only a toddler but she is hearing God’s Word both at home and at church. We praise God for His gift of salvation and for the Biblical teaching and fellowship we have at Faith Baptist Church.
